For the highest quality results from chemical peel treatments, Divine IV and Wellness provides you with numerous options. Your medical-grade chemical peel with exfoliating solutions (such as salicylic, glycolic, trichloroacetic, and lactic acids) will give you smoother, healthier skin. At our Chandler, AZ office, we offer chemical peel treatments that help to decrease skin flaws, including wrinkles, fine lines, scars, uneven patches, hyperpigmentation issues, and more. Chemical peels eliminate damaged, dead skin cells with an individualized solution on your skin that causes the upper layer to slough off. As your skin heals and begins to rejuvenate and repair itself, you may notice a smoother, clearer complexion. A chemical peel facial is a noninvasive method to make your skin radiant and is appropriate for the neck and face.

Depending on the intensity of your chemical peel, you can expect a variety of the following benefits from your treatment at Divine IV and Wellness:

  • Hydrated, rejuvenated skin texture
  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and signs of aging
  • Evened and calmed skin tone
  • Minimization of pores and other irregularities on the skin
  • Softer, clearer skin

During your procedure at Divine IV and Wellness, we will have you lying in a relaxed position to administer your peel. A team member will make sure your skin is cleaned prior to applying the customized solution to your treatment areas. We will brush the solution onto the skin and let it work for a specific amount of time, which will be discussed in your chemical peel planning session. Then, we will clean the solution off your skin and put on a neutralizing agent. You should bring sunscreen and/or a hat to wear outside following the procedure to avoid sun exposure.

About Us
What level should I choose for my chemical peel?

The best chemical peel for you will vary based on your specific skin issues and cosmetic goals. During your consultation with our team, we can help you choose which formula is right for your skin. A few factors you may consider are your overall health, your skin type, how deep you want the peel to work, how long you can spend in recovery, and what concerns you have about the appearance of your skin. For first-time patients, it may be better to select a light peel and see how you like the results. From there, you and Amy can adjust your treatment plan to discover the best type of peel for your needs.

Should I get a chemical peel or dermabrasion treatment?

Both dermabrasion and chemical peels are facial rejuvenation procedures that treat surface irregularities to give your skin a smoother appearance. The difference is that dermabrasion requires surgical tools (a shaving instrument or rotating brush) to remove the surface skin layer with a careful scraping process. A chemical peel applies a caustic solution to your skin to dissolve damaged skin cells. During your initial consultation, our providers will explain the advantages of each and help you decide whether a chemical peel or dermabrasion is better for achieving your skin goals.

Will my face hurt after a chemical peel?

Based on the peel selected, you might feel mild discomfort throughout the treatment and shortly after. If you get a light peel, you will notice a little discomfort; however, this can be alleviated with the use of a handheld fan. Deep or medium peels are better for deeper skin damage and offer results that last a long time, but they usually are more uncomfortable. Numbing cream, medications, and soothing ointments may be used to minimize your discomfort during your treatment. Amy or a member of her team will go over post-treatment skin care to help your skin heal.
